1960s JIE Gantofta (Sweden) 'Gogay' Ceramic Salt Container with Wooden Lid by Anita Nylund. Here is a fantastic example of retro/vintage Scandinavian ceramics - dating from the 1960s, part of the 'Gogay' range by JIE Gantofta (Sweden) and designed by the legendary Anita Nylund. This is the salt container, still with it's original wooden lid, and handpainted with various scenes in vibrant glazes onto a bright white ground - this is an extremely decorative and usuable item that would look fabulous on display on it's own or with other Swedish ceramics of the period - we have other containers from the same range also currently on sale. SIZE: Height to top of knob 6in/15cm Weight 690g. CONDITION: Excellent original condition with no chips, cracks or fleabites.
