This is a stunning 50-60's dark green moc croc, slight patent effect bag, which when open reveals a purse and wallet inside. With gold chain mail effect band leading to a black and gold magnetic clasp, this bag is the ultimate vintage glamour peice. Don't save it for special occasions, this purse should be shown off! Also called 'cats eye' glasses and were worn only by women due to the 'upswept' line of the top rim. Many of these styles had elaborate trim designs ..this one has a silver trim. This frame is called 'Lee'

"Buy British" Tote Bag

Some of us are old enough to (just about!) remember the "Buy British" campaign of the late 1960s and early 70s. This tote bag takes a nostalgic look back at those times, with the Union Jack hand-appliqued in soft pastel colours, and a softly quilted floral exhortation to "Buy British."

The bag is handmade from our vintage linen and lined with cotton canvas which makes it incredibly strong. It has two deep internal pockets and a magnetic closure. The bag measures approximately 14" x 16" so it's a good useful size.

Beautiful vintage late 1940's/early 1950's handbag in fab orange tan leather.
Curved flap with cream overstitching, piped details front and back and cute little button clip fastening.
Wide base and great matching leather handle which is gently tapered, widening towards the middle.
Lined inside in clean acetate fabric with a side pocket containing a little mirror, and a metal zip-fastening pocket.
Gorgeous condition, lovely quality vintage bag from the post-war era.
