A very rare ladies leather jacket from the 1940's made from medium brown suede kidskin. The jacket was made by Dent's, the famous kid gloves manufacturer and the leather quality is exactly the same as their vintage kidskin gloves that they used to make.

The jacket has the typical 1940's wide, padded shoulders and has a contrasting plain leather fold down collar (not suede). The body of the jacket is pleated and goes in at the waist. It still has it's original belt but the Bakelite slide buckle has broken in half. You can still wear it as is as I have shown but enough Bakelite buckles survive from the 30's and 40's that you can find a nicer one to replace it and have a good shoe repair man sew it on. It has two slash pockets and fastens with a metal zipper. The inside of the jacket has the Dent's label saying that it is made from "Mazurka leather" and is lined in beige nylon (which feels like it has some rayon content as well).

The jacket is in very good condition and has a nice aged patina to it. The plain leather collar does have wear/sweat marks to it as well as some scuffs but this lends to the age of the jacket and does not detract from it. The suede kidskin has some small pencil head sized dark spots here and there on the jacket form use and age but again, this lends to the patina of the coat and are not glaringly obvious. The lining has some dirt marks/light wear from age but nothing that shows on the outside. All the suede kidskin is buttery soft and supple.

The size on the old label states that it is a size 38. My bust and hips both measure 38" and this fits like it was made for me. The hips are VERY close fitting on it and will will NOT fit hips larger than 38".

Shoulders measure 17" but most of this are the wide 40's shoulder pads- will fit shoulders of 16"- 16 1/2", Bust measures 41" (will fit a 38" bust perfectly), Waist measures 32" (will fit a 30" waist), Hips measure 40" (will fit 36"- 38" hips), Jacket length from the nape of the neck to hem is 27", Sleeve length is 23 1/2". I am 5'9" and the length was good on me although the sleeves could have done with being a bit longer for me.

Beautiful vintage late 1940's/early 1950's handbag in fab orange tan leather.
Curved flap with cream overstitching, piped details front and back and cute little button clip fastening.
Wide base and great matching leather handle which is gently tapered, widening towards the middle.
Lined inside in clean acetate fabric with a side pocket containing a little mirror, and a metal zip-fastening pocket.

Jean Allen divine sumptuous mint green satin jacquard floral 50's vintage evening gown - Candy Says Vintage Clothing
Show-stopping vintage evening gown from the 1950's, fit for a princess and just gorgeous for a vintage wedding or grand ball.
Made by the fabulous Jean Allen, this is a real red-carpet gown certain to turn heads and turn onlookers as green with envy as the frock itself!
In sumptuous pale silvery mint green satin jacquard with a floral pattern of shimmering olive and lime green accents.
1" wide shoulder straps, straight neckline and darted bust, gathered at the centre with a little bow. Tapered and curved panels emanate from the centre bust to the sides and around the back of the dress, in alternating mint green and floral jacquard fabric.
The full skirt has darts to the front and three layered inverted pleats to the back, which open out in gentle folds to the hem.
There is a metal side zip to fasten, and the gown is labelled 'Jean Allen, London, size 38'.
We used this frock in a fashion show recently and it stole the show - must be tried on, but you won't want to take it off!

Rare plum and green plaid Scottish Gillie tweed vintage 40's skirt suit - Candy Says Vintage Clothing
The perfect vintage 1940's suit for collectors, enthusiasts and Goodwood Revival visitors too!
Very rare and in superb condition, this two-piece original 1940's plaid skirt and jacket set were made by Roqant in pure new wool Scottish Gillie Tweed with tones of plum, heather, forest and olive green and mustard.
The long sleeved wool jacket is a flattering classic 1940's fit with gently padded shoulders, revered collars, bust darts for shape and fitted tapered waist (all very Vivienne Westwood!). It fastens with three textured plastic buttons which also trim the sleeves and fasten the cute little hip pockets.
Lined in beige acetate fabric - see last picture for label details.
The matching smart skirt has a fitted waistband and popper with metal zip fastening and tasselled pull to the side. Made up of eight panels, both sides of the skirt have three inverted pleats from mid-thigh to hem. Labelled inside 'Roqant regd'.
A rare chic and stylish suit from the fab forties, a must-have for collectors with really wonderful pictorial label too!

Divine head-turner of a vintage maxi dress from the 1970's, in amazing light and breezy slightly diaphanous nylon fabric with a colourful abstract floral print in violet, turquoise, lime, yellow, coral and white.
Rounded neckline with gentle gathering, and tapered waist with skirt flaring out to the hem. Amazing flared cape-style flutter sleeves which fall almost right down to the hem of the dress!
